Tesla Motors, a globally recognized electric vehicle manufacturer, outsold all its premium brand rivals by a wide margin in 2022. According to sources, Tesla registered 484,351 new cars last year – an impressive 41% increase from 2021. This was followed by BMW, which had 327,929 units sold, and Mercedes-Benz, with 269,511 units sold; both companies experienced declines in sales compared to the previous year.

New car registrations from luxury brands totaled slightly over 2 million vehicles but declined by 3.5% due to many countries’ global pandemics and economic downturns.

Despite this decline across other companies within its sector, however, Tesla has continued on an upward trajectory that shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Tesla currently has four different electric vehicles available for purchase (Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y).

Why are more people opting for Tesla?

The main reason why more people are choosing Teslas is that they offer several advantages when compared with regular gasoline-powered cars, such as zero tailpipe emissions (no toxic exhaust gases) and reduced operating expenses owing to lower electricity prices than petrol or diesel fuel prices over time, plus considerable government incentives for owning one such as tax credits or exemptions when purchasing a new model.

“Until March 2023, new Model 3 and Model Y vehicles qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit for eligible buyers” –

– not forgetting that charging these batteries can be done through public charging stations, making it much simpler than ever before.

Furthermore, more recent versions are compatible with rapid DC chargers capable of refilling 80% capacity within 30 minutes or less.

In conclusion, there’s no doubt that driving an electric car can be a very rewarding and environmentally friendly experience. This is especially true when you consider how far technology has come since 2003, when Tesla first opened its doors, and how the company still stays ahead of its competitors by giving drivers clean, efficient, and cost-effective ways to get around while also helping to reduce carbon footprints around the world.
