
Today, AMC Entertainment (AMC & APE), the world’s largest theatrical exhibitor, announced an exclusive launch of AMC’s all-new lines of microwave and ready-to-eat popcorn items, beginning with featured endcaps that prominently display AMC Perfectly Popcorn in hundreds of Walmart locations across the United States. Certain AMC Perfectly Popcorn types will be available on Walmart endcaps on March 11, just in time for the Academy Awards, which will screen on March 12.
Introducing AMC Theatres’ New Range of Popcorn: Making Movies Better at Home and in the Theatre

With the introduction of this new AMC Theatres popcorn product, AMC delivers their “Perfectly Popcorn” movie theater popcorn taste and scent to the comfort of your home. AMC’s popcorn collection has added six new products, including three microwave and popped popcorn flavor variants. AMC’s microwave popcorn and popped popcorn are available in classic butter, extra butter, and lightly salted flavors. The microwave Extra Butter variant includes buttery topping packets, allowing customers to recreate the best movie theater experience by adding even more butter flavor to their popcorn.
All six kinds of AMC’s new popcorn line contain the incredible AMC Perfectly Popcorn flavor, previously exclusively available at AMC movie theaters.
From March 11, several kinds of AMC’s new range of popcorn products will be available at Walmart’s highlighted endcap program. The following month, AMC’s popcorn will be available in over 2,600 Walmart stores and on walmart.com. The microwave popcorn variations sold at Walmart will cost $4.98 plus tax for a 6-count bag. The ready-to-eat popcorn variants, which come in 4.2- to 5.2-ounce bags, are projected to cost $3.98 plus tax.
After the exclusive introduction of its new microwave and ready-to-eat popcorn at Walmart locations this spring, AMC expects to expand distribution channels for its new microwave and ready-to-eat popcorn later this year.
