We all wonder how fun it would be to chat with long-lost legends like Michael Jackson, Stephen Hawking, or Muhammad Ali. What questions we could you ask them, right?
Well, you’re in luck today. There’s a website called character.ai that makes the same reality, well don’t get your hopes too high.
Character.ai is an exciting new chatbot web application that utilizes advanced deep learning and expansive language models to help users create unique bots. The platform, developed by previous developers of Google’s LaMDA, Noam Shazeer and Daniel De Freitas, allows users to construct “characters” with customized personalities, which can be used for various purposes, such as creative writing assistance or text-based adventure games.
Creating a character in character.ai involves two steps: firstly, providing short and long descriptions from the character’s point of view; secondly, using example conversations involving this character to give it a better understanding of its behavior. Within these chats, you can rate each response from 1-4 stars to provide feedback on how closely they fit your desired identity – swiping right will generate additional messages with every turn! As well as this detailed rating system, an official guide is available on Character AI’s website, known as the ‘Character Book,’ which provides further assistance when crafting your perfect bot!

Upon completion, all characters may be published onto the community page where others can interact with them individually or within group chats containing multiple characters at once – who knows what sort of interesting conversations will arise? With continual improvement currently underway throughout beta testing, such opportunities are expanding more than ever before.
